I did see this somewhere on television and there was some dolphin that was injured they saved him,but he could not swim so he did gain weight when they tho he will die,someone did get idea to make him prosthetic tail after alot of tries they did successfully made an prosthetic tail that dolphin can use for 2-3h a day and after few month's he did get in shape :) .
